The Bubble –
Find a place where you can be with yourself for about 30 minutes. No cellphones, no technology, no people around. On a sheet of paper, list the things which you like to do, personally and which you would like to pursue in a longer term.
Examples:
Wrong – You possibly like to watch TV, but you wouldn’t want to be an addict in the long term.
Right – You like music, you might want to have the best collection of songs in the long term, or maybe launch a music album by yourself.
Now, make the list with definitive actions to do something about every item in that list atleast 2 times a week. These actions will create a bubble. Step inside this. Meaning to say, surround yourself with all these personal to-dos’.
As you progress your daily routine – home, work, family – you have the bubble which needs to grow along with time. This need not necessarily be discussed with anyone, because its a personal bubble.
Vague, but relative point – My former VP once said to some of us, “Be selfish and take care of yourself first. Its ok. How can you take care of anyone else, if you don’t take good care of yourself?”
So, this Bubble will grow, it will make you stronger as an individual, it will complete you as a person…
I have a small Bubble, inside which I grow my personal strengths. It works, keeps me open to learning, gives me a better perspective, allows me to enjoy life, makes me grounded..
The Bubble – Try it…
